Welcome to Hamlet Public School 

 

We are honoured to serve this community of learners and look forward to working alongside talented and dedicated staff, students, parents and community members. We are a JK to Grade 6 school located southwest of the downtown core. As the first school built in the city of Stratford, we have a long history of student achievement in a positive and supportive school environment. Our staff remains dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment for all children through the lens of equity and inclusion.

 

We have a thriving Parent Council and many volunteers who are committed to enhancing the learning environment at Hamlet for the 220 students and the 25 staff members. Through their recent hard work and dedication along with the support of many community partners, our primary and junior students now enjoy a new climber installed in the fall of 2021 to play and learn on. 

 

Parental involvement in school has been demonstrated to be a key factor in children's academic outcomes. Therefore we encourage parents and guardians to be involved in their child's education through regularly connecting with classroom teachers, volunteering in the school and actively engaging in school life at Hamlet.
